Oxytocin triggers thirst. Drink a glass every time you nurse.

Vital to prevent bone leaching.

Necessary to recover from delivery blood loss.

Important Supplements
Vitamin D
Breast milk is often low in Vitamin D. Pediatricians usually recommend giving the baby 400 IU drops directly.
Vitamin B12
Crucial for Vegetarian/Vegan mothers to prevent neurological damage in the infant. Must supplement if avoiding animal products.
